The city of Truro is only about a 10 minute drive to the south and has a wide selection of good shopping including a Tescos, Sainsburys, Marks & Spencer and many other high street outlets. There is also a cinema and a great selection of restaurants, pubs & cafes. The resort of Newquay is about 12 miles to the north with its spectacular surf beaches at Fistral & Watergate Bay. Jamie Oliver's "Fifteen" restaurant is located here. Padstow, with its fine selection of restaurants influenced by Rick Stein is just over 20 miles. Harbourside towns & villages such as Fowey, Falmouth & St Mawes are all within easy reach. For those flying to Cornwall, the airport is within easy reach.

The Cathedral City of Truro is in the heart of Cornwall and offers a wealth of facilities for the visitor. Dominated by the stunning cathedral, it is one of the south west's most attractive cities. Lemon Quay plays host to many events throughout the year including the Cornwall Food & Drink Festival in the Autumn and the famous Truro Fatstock Show just before Christmas. Regular farmers markets occur every Wednesdays & Saturday and there are also arts & craft markets on Saturdays. There is a wonderful range of shopping for the visitor including all the regular high street stores including Marks & Spencer, Tescos & Sainsburys, but also a wide range of more specialist stores. It really is worth a wander through the back streets and alleys to find some fabulous little boutiques.

Truro has a superb range of restaurants from Bustopher Jones & Mannings on Lemon Street to the always popular Pizza Express. There are lively bars, pubs & nightclubs including the superb Old Ale House, a busy Wetherspoons and the infamous L2 if you are so inclined! The Hall for Cornwall hosts everything from Shakespeare to rock concerts and the cinema on Lemon Street has all the latest releases.

Absolutely fantastic location. Cottage is so comfortable and clean. Owners on site were very helpful but never intrusive, in fact could not find them to say goodbye. Definitely a five star home. Don't pass it by.

Moonlight cottage is very homely, warm, clean and comfortable and thoughtfully decorated. It is about 10 minutes from Truro and is within easy access to A39 and A30 so we managed to visit North and South Cornwall quite easily. The hosts Jill and John are very nice and gave us a warm welcome when we arrived. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Moonlight cottage and would definitely stay again and recommend to others.

Trevor from Buckingham stayed at Moonlight for 7 nights in September
This is the first time we have been on this kind of holiday. We were met by the owners ( with wine and chocolate biscuits!) and as soon as we entered the property we felt at home. Moonlight contained everything we needed and had been very tastefully put together. We had a lovely holiday and hope that all our cottage experiences are as good. The bar has been set high.

Freindly welcome to quiet barn conversion in the middle of countryside with easy access to Truro. Small property ideal for couples with a location that provides good access to main roads for travelling around the county. Lots of villages locally with plenty of opportunities to eat out.

Taig from Manchester stayed at Moonlight for 7 nights in August
The cottage is in a quiet location but is easy to access by car and there's a parking space at the property. It is in a great central location for accessing all areas in Cornwall. There's a good wifi signal throughout the property too. Jill and John were friendly and welcoming but unobtrusive. They made sure we were aware of some roadworks that could impact our journey and had a welcome pack of essentials - tea, coffee, milk, biscuits and wine. The gardens around the cottage are lovely to walk around and very well kept. The property is great value for money and I'd recommend it to others.

Bob from Leeds stayed at Moonlight for 7 nights in July
The cottage is beautiful, very comfortable, clean and very well equipped. Excellant welcome pack included a bottle of red wine, biscuits and a bottle of milk (also tea towel/dishcloth/scrubbing brush) The grounds are stunning and we were encouraged to enjoy it (which we did). The cottage is in a quiet rural setting, but you are 10 minutes into Truro itself, and ideally located to explore any part of Cornwall. The owners Jill And John were friendly but unobtrusive, very genuine people who want your stay to be enjoyed. Can Highly recommend Moonlight studio and we are currently re booking for next year.

David from Northampton stayed at Moonlight for 7 nights in June
We had not been to Cornwall for many years so we're not sure on locations so booked moonlight cottage thinking it was in Truro We arrived and were welcomed by the owners who were very nice and they were of on holiday themselves The cottage though small was very nice well equipped and comfortable bit cobwebby but on the whole clean The cottage was on an old farm the grounds were very good kept immaculate But to get to the cottage you had to drive up a long narrow track long way from the village you could not walk out in the evening to eat you had to drive down the track when you went out Now this would suit anyone who wanted to be rural but we like to be somewhere were we can stroll out in the evenings So the cottage and setting were fine just not for us because of distance from anywhere
Reply from Cornwalls CottagesWe're glad you were pleased with the cottage during your stay. We're sorry you hadn't realised where the property was located, we do give full details on our website. We provide Google Maps & Street View so you can view the area before booking. Do bear this in mind for any future bookings so you can be sure to book a place you will enjoy!

Lovely spot situated in a peaceful farm not to far away from a small town where there is a hotel and a shop that you can get all you need instead of going to Truro and very central to get to most of the sites around Cornwall

Guest from Wolverhampton stayed at Moonlight for 7 nights in July
Owners instructions very easy to follow. found without problem. A very warm & friendly welcome,,on arrival & departure from the owners.Friendly but unobtrusive, with a can do attitude. Throughout the stay was aware they were around ,but very discreetly ,should any problems arise,am confident they would have been dealt with fast & efficiently. Moonlight studio delightful,Ideal for couple or one person. modern decor, beach hut style with all mod cons. A quiet rural retreat, ideal to relax .with a small tranquil zen garden & woods, public footpath local walks, ideal for serious walkers. Some form of own transport needed .Some distance from nearest village bus stop.rural bus service,1 pub,1 shop. Easy road access to nearest towns if own transport- Truro,(8 miles)Newquay(10)-otherwise by Taxi to Truro approx 15 pounds e.w. A useful bonus would have been supply of sun loungers/deck chairs for outdoor lounging/relaxing in sunny weather, from the smaller two properties- although there were some at larger property & am sure we could have borrowed .Ample outdoor table, chairs, benches were supplied in all areas. Cornwall Cottages website was easy to use & efficient. Would stay Moonlight ,again & would book others via Cornwall Cottages. Would Recommend.

I loved the blue and white theme throughout speaking to us of a seaside theme. Everywhere was clean & everything we needed for our short stay. There was very little room in the bedroom to put our suitcase or bags. The garden and surroundings were very attractive and quiet, our hosts welcoming and informative.

Moonlight and Sunlight are absolutely gorgeous. The owners are just lovely and they ensure you have a smooth arrival and lovely stay at their cottages. I have been staying there due to working in Cornwall for the last couple of months. I cannot recommend their cottages highly enough. In addition the girls in the office have been brilliant and very helpful. Will definitely be recommending Cornwalls Cottages to friends and be using you again in the future.

We had a great stay at the cottage. The property was very well supplied with materials, was very comfortable, and was ideally located for us to sally forth in all directions for our all-too-brief stay in Cornwall. John
