Fal Mussel Visitor Card - 01326 313394
Before you travel, buy a Fal Mussel Visitor Card and it will give you unlimited hop-on hop-off travel on the Fal River Links network of ferries, buses and trains listed below for 1,2,3 or 6 days. It can also be used for the Falmouth Park & Float/Ride.  You can buy your Mussel Card online or at the Fal River Visitor Information Centre, Prince of Wales Pier, Falmouth. 

St Mawes Ferry - 01872 861910
Runs 364 days a year between Falmouth and St Mawes and takes 20 minutes. The journey takes in the beautiful scenery of the Carrick Roads which includes two historic castles. You will also see many wonderful sights including large ships and even dolphins which are often seen basking in the harbour. The ferries, which also have covered seating, depart every hour during the winter and three times an hour during the summer. 

King Harry Ferry - 01872 861917
One of only five chain ferries in England, this car ferry connects Falmouth, Truro and Feock with St Mawes and the Roseland Peninsula thereby avoiding a much longer drive.  It runs every 20 minutes, 7 days a week all year round and takes approximately 10 minutes to cross the river. 

Flushing Ferry - 01872 861910
The Flushing Ferry is a passenger ferry linking the village of Flushing with the port of Falmouth. It runs half-hourly throughout the year. Flushing is the starting point for some great walks and has two pubs which are worth a visit.

Falmouth Water Taxi - 07522 446659
Based in Falmouth harbour, the water taxi runs from April to the end of October.  This covered vessel offers an on-demand service and has a capacity for 12 passengers. You can decide where and when to go, whether it is to a waterside pub or restaurant, your mooring or berth, or to a stretch of the coastal footpath.

Enterprise Boats - 01326 374241
The Enterprise boats sail regularly along the banks of the Fal River between Falmouth, St Mawes and Truro. The route will take you past iconic maritime locations, historic houses and landmarks, as well as taking you up close to the array of ocean-going vessels laid up at anchor on the upper reaches of the Fal. The service runs from Easter to October and the sailing times vary. Snacks, hot refreshments and toilets are available on board and there is also an informative commentary from the boat's skipper.

Seating up to 50, the Western Endeavour leaves the Prince of Wales Pier, Falmouth and provides boat trips along the river to Smugglers Cottage, Tolverne which is part of the Tregothnan Estate. You can alight there and enjoy the delights of the Tea Room. There is a morning and afternoon cruise, Monday to Saturday in the summer months.

Helford Ferry - 01326 250005
The Helford Ferry is the best way to explore this beautiful river and to visit the several gardens, the pubs and enjoy the many walks.  Sailing between Helford Village and Helford Passage, the trip takes 10 minutes. It runs from Easter to October, 7 days a week.

Place Ferry - 01872 861910
Catch the ferry from Falmouth to St Mawes and then take the Place Ferry which is probably the smallest of all ferries!  The ferry not only makes up part of the South West Coast Path but from Place Creek passengers can head out on a selection of short walks. It runs a half-hourly service between April and October and the trip takes 10 minutes.
Smugglers Ferry - 01872 861910
A regular ferry that connects Smugglers Cottage at Tolverne with Trelissick Gardens on the other side of the river.  It also lands at a number of other locations around the upper Fal River. Operates 7 days a week in June, July, August and September from 10.15am until 4.50pm.  Evening service on Friday and Saturday nights in July and August.

There are regular services between Falmouth and Truro with many buses connecting the outlying villages of the two towns.

The Maritime Line (Trains) - 08457 484950
This historic line links the city of Truro with various stations leading into Falmouth Town and Falmouth Docks stations.

Falmouth Park & Float/Ride - 01872 861910 or 01326 319417
After parking at Ponsharden car park on the outskirts of Falmouth, take a leisurely boat trip down the Penryn River to Falmouth's Custom House Quay. Ferries depart from the car park every 20 minutes and the trip takes 10 minutes.
Buses depart from Ponsharden car park every 20 minutes and go direct to Falmouth's High Street and Prince of Wales Pier.

Orca Sea Safaris - 01326 214928
Orca Sea Safaris offer wildlife watching and coastal safaris. Leaving from Falmouth the trips take in the spectacular sights of the Carrick Roads. Although not guaranteed, it is often possible to see dolphins, seals, whales, seabirds and basking sharks.
